Mashatu Main Camp
One of the best kind of experiences I have when I travel is when I find a place that is just done right.  It doesn't matter if it's low end or high end or somewhere in between -- it's more important that there was a clear target, and that it has been met perfectly.

Mashatu is the high-end safari done right.

Our guide was Bashi (above left), who is a man of tremendous grace and skill.  Also, he can make a Land Rover do a pirouette.  To his right is our tracker Meir, a man who can count the fleas in a spring hare's tail from half a mile away.

One page isn't enough to say everything about Mashatu, so I've created five:

To Mashatu And Back
Tracking
Teen Lions In Love
Lore
Walking Safari
Mom wanted me to take the Mashatu Main Camp waterhole home with us, but I couldn't figure a way to get it past customs.
It was important to watch your food at breakfast.  One of these guys made off with my muffin one morning.
The camp is surrounded by stone wall.  There are no predators inside, so the bushbuck like it there.
Every single night, another blood red sun.
