There and Back
After driving the Garden Route, we flew from Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg, and then drove up to Mashatu game park in southern Botswana.  These are a few things that caught my eye on the way there and back down to Joburg.

An excellent addition to any airport.
Fire Arms check-ins were a standard feature at all South African airports.

There is a lot of mining near the Botswana/South African border.  This is just the truck bed -- we saw another semi carrying the tires come by a bit later.
The Limpopo river marks the border between Botswana and South Africa.  When it's flowing, you can't get a vehicle across the border -- this cable car is it.
A little too much truth in adverstising, there.
For those of you who have been seeking it, it turns out to be near Pietersburg in South Africa.
A lot of the townships had these square water towers.  They're artistic, I guess, but they seem like they would be structurally weaker than round ones.
