1045 Broadway
In March of 2005 I returned to San Jose to reestablish a home base for myself.  I originally intended to rent a condo, but I got a little over-enthusiastic and ended up buying a house instead.
Before anything else, I had to say hello to Luke.  He thought my head was pretty cool, which he expressed by trying to stick his entire hand into my mouth repeatedly.
River Glen is right down the street from me.  I really like this peice, particularly the globes.
It's not a house that photographs well, but it's a cute little thing.  The trees are particularly nice, keeping the place cool year round and providing a playground for the local squirrel population.
The corner view.  The tree in the center is a "Cork Oak", and its bark looks and feels exactly like cork.  For all I know, these are where cork actually comes from.
The property backs onto an old Union Pacific Railroad through-way.  The tracks were lifted up a few years ago, and there are rumors that a bike path will be put in place sometime soon.
