Buenos Aires
I arrived in Buenos Aires three days before I was scheduled to leave on the Antarctic cruise, primarily to give myself time to get over the jet lag arriving from New Zealand.  As such I didn't see much of the city;  I spent most of the time in my hotel room.

Even so, the small look around I got was very encouraging.  Next time I'm in South America I'll give it at least a week.
These apartment blocks are spread out through the countryside around Buenos Aires.  Everything about Buenos Aires is spread out, actually.
I found this mysterious outbuilding on a warehouse near the hotel.
The cruise line rather rudely got us out of bed at 3:30am to catch a flight to the ship.  That's Buenos Aires at sunrise down there.
Another shot of sunrise over Buenos Aires.
The prevailing winds were quite strong that morning.
